Ace Your Golf Game
Allow us to tee up your excitement. Angel Fire Resort’s stunning golf course opens for the summer season on May 14. With 18 holes of gorgeous mountain views and in-house PGA pro instructor, you can’t miss this local attraction. If you’ve been itching to get back on the green, you can book a tee time now through the resort. Fees vary depending on the time of day, and if you book before June 12 you can receive a discounted rate!
Lure in the Good Times
Nature lovers, take your fishing rods out of the shed and head over to Monte Verde Lake, also opening May 14. The lake is fully stocked with trout all summer, and bait, lures and flies can be purchased on the property. If you don’t have a fishing permit, no worries. Permits are available for purchase for children and adults at the boathouse. If your little ones love to fish, head over to the Cimarron Canyon State Park on May 7 for a Children’s Fishing Derby for kids ages 3-11, where they can fish for free and have a chance to win prizes.
Award-Winning Mountain Biking
Also reopening in May, Angel Fire Bike Park boasts more than 30 mountainous trails and options for all experience levels. The park also houses an on-site bike shop to fix any breaks from “too much” trail time. Visitors can find gear and bike rentals and receive riding lessons for those new to mountain biking (or wanting to learn new skills). With 60 miles of terrain, the Angel Fire Bike Park is the largest in the Rocky Mountains. You can’t go wrong with this award-winning park!
Fun For the Whole Family
