Can’t Take the Heat? Come to Angel Fire
The 7-day forecast makes one thing clear: summer is officially here. If the high temperatures have got you down, pack a bag and hit the road to Angel Fire. We’ve got 70-degree temperatures with a cool north wind calling your name. If you leave now, you could be here in time for dinner!
On the way to Angel Fire, you’ll travel through the captivating Enchanted Circle. You’ll find some of New Mexico’s most culturally immersive towns and villages between valleys, mesas, mountains and national forests. Trust us – there’s no better place to beat the heat!
Make Taos your first stop on the Enchanted Circle. Take in the city’s rich spiritual history, natural beauty and traditional cuisine. Whether you go rafting, mountain biking or rock climbing, or choose to stop by one of the more than 70 art galleries in the area, you’re sure to have a good time! From there, you’ll head to Questa, where you can go big game hunting and hiking while experiencing an authentic, quiet, quaint New Mexican town.
Next stop: Red River! Historically, visitors to Red River came in search of gold. While that’s not the case anymore, there are undoubtedly still treasures to be found there. Spend time camping, playing disc golf, fly fishing or summer mountain tubing with your family, discovering what Red River has to offer. Known as the gateway to the Enchanted Circle, Eagle Nest will be your second-to-last stop. Go bicycling or bird watching, then shop a few traditional New Mexican trading posts.
The best and final stop on the Enchanted Circle (we know we’re biased) is the town of Angel Fire. With stunning scenery, activities for the whole family and a small-community feel, Angel Fire is the cool escape you’re looking for – see for yourself! Once you visit, you might discover that you want to stay awhile.
